Throughout the course of this year my work has focused primarily on marginalized subcultures.For my latest series I have been exploring the public and private lives of fetishists from all sides of the ever expanding fetish ‘sex industry’.
Presented in a collection of portraits, the photographs document a period of time that I spent meeting the attendees of the monthly fetish night: ‘Club Lash’.
I hoped to discover the motivation for these enthusiasts who have such compelling desire to exhibit themselves publicly in submissive or dominant roles, and gain an insight into the culture of devotion to the material object.
